Welcome to Menifters

Menifters Farm is set high on the eastern side of The Lizard Peninsula by the mouth of the Helford estuary. From the cottages there are stunning views across Falmouth Bay, towards Gull Rock and on clear days to Nare Head and Rame Head close to the Devon border. The views are constantly changing as ships and smaller vessels sail in and out of their moorings.

No bright lights here – unless you count the lighthouse at St Anthony’s Head across Falmouth Bay or the twinkling lights of ships and fishing boats at sea. You are never cut off though: within 10 – 30 minutes drive you will find cosy pubs in Cadgwith and Coverack, exceptional Michelin starred restaurants in Porthleven, dazzling blue waters at Kynance Cove and the bustling town of Falmouth with its abundance of artisan shops and an annual oyster festival.

Surrounded by a variety of landscapes: smugglers creeks, fishing coves, green pastures, cliff walks, sandy beaches and of course the famous Manacles off shore make Menifters a perfect base from which to walk, sail, surf, dive or simply rest and enjoy the views.

Stay in comfort

The cottages are converted from old farm buildings and set in 2 acres of communal gardens but each with their own dedicated space for relaxing out of doors. The meadow is currently being rewilded offering an even more enchanting view. There are many walks to local beaches and just a mile away is the midpoint of the south-west coast path at Porthallow.

Our one and two bedroom cottages have very different characters: the romantic Roost with its feature bath,  breathtaking views from the Hayloft or country chic in the Dairy.
